The basic recipe for the tastiest apple pie with crispy crust and sweet filling of apple and cinnamon, including step by step
Heat the oven to 180 degrees. Do put the raisins in lukewarm water for 15 minutes, then drain. Mix the butter, self-raising flour, caster sugar, vanilla sugar, pinch of salt and half the egg into an even dough. If it is very sticky, add a little flour and it is very dry a little more butter. Wrap the dough in foil and refrigerate for so long.
Meanwhile, peel the apples and cut into cubes. In a bowl, mix with the raisins, sugar, cinnamon and lemon juice. Place the baking paper on the bottom of the springform and place the edge on top and snap. Remove the remaining paper on the sides. Grease the whole springform with butter.
Take about 2/3 of the dough and roll out with a rolling pin, if necessary use some flour or flour to prevent slices. Line the shape with this. Isn’t this so convenient? Tips when making apple pie:
Preferably use a firm and slightly sour apple such as gold renets, these are unfortunately only available in autumn and winter. Another good alternative is Jonagold or Elstar.
Other tasty additions to the filling include: walnuts, pecans, hazelnuts, pinch of cardamom, pineapple or the raisins in rum.
